From millions years and million miles, the grand Designer sat down to create you in this time and in this place. He lovingly looked at the blank canvas and beckoned His love and artistry to fashion His new child – you.

His mind was transfixed with focus and admiration as he was planning your image, an image that is designed after His own. You’ll not be perfect in every way in the eyes of the world, but you’ll be a perfect receiver of His love for all eternity. You are a creation worthy of admiration.

God’s smile can’t be hidden as His hands are forming you. Angels are silent, not daring to interrupt God. They are in awe and said, “Looks like a new beloved is to be born.”

Her beauty stolen his gaze. He summoned all his courage to initiate a talk. She accepted. They met again. A bouquet of roses. They are awake all night thinking of each other. Love letters. Chocolate. The sweetest ‘yes’ he ever received and she ever given. Two hearts connected. Misunderstanding. Cool off. Reconciliation. Sweeter. Holding hands. A wedding ring. Their happiest day in the front of God and their families. The honeymoon. Their hearts are beating fast. They are naked in front of each other and not ashamed. The most intimate touches are freely given. The two became one. In the night of their love, God made you.

Their DNA devotedly fused and out of that union, God formed yours. A new masterpiece. A new child to be cherished by God’s eyes. A creation to be guided by the angels. A new individual to glorify the Highest.

The Designer who gave the artistry of Picasso and Michelangelo personally designed you. He tinted your hair, painted your iris, shaped your nose (Yes, even you’re a Filipino), arranged your teeth, bend your smile, and dyed your complexion.

He picked the nationality and the culture you’ll embrace. He brought you in a generation where you’ll leave a God-marked legacy. A place and time for your existence and God-assigned role.

He designed your temperament, and out of thousands of available gifts that you can have, he picked a number of them and installed them into you. They will be your passions and talents for your contribution. He also installed some weaknesses in you. You’ll misunderstand them at first, but you’ll appreciate them later because you’ll learn to depend on others and in Him through them.

You’ll have relationships: good and bad that will enriched your personality. You’ll encounter sea of faces and field of hearts so that your connection with humanity will be deepened and you’ll be in the position to make a difference for them.

With His affectionate eyes, he saw that you’ll face the human life with all its glories and shadows. You’ll have thousand smiles and thousand cries. But God promised to your soul that you don’t have to be afraid, because His presence will be with you no matter what. You’ll never understand every question and appreciate every answer, but you can always choose to understand His purpose and cherish His love for you, a love immune to strings and meant to quench your inmost thirst.

And God planted a seed of eternity in your heart so that you’ll have a life genetically coded for paradise, thus you’ll never found the deepest satisfaction in this life and that is good, because you’re destined for the utmost life with Him in heaven.

For nine months you are in care of your mother, nourished and loved. And the day marked by God came for your fist day in earth. You came out of your mother with her blood and courage. With tears and the first sound of your cry, you experienced the light and air of this world. Your mother was filled with joy as she saw your face for the first time. Your father was crying with you for the gift they received. You are the fruit of their love and the receiver of their affection.

“Name?” the nurse asked. And your name is given. You breathe in and formed your first smile. God celebrated you and still celebrating you as you are reading this.

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
