“I’ll try.”

If you’re a halfhearted individual, I’m sure that sentence is your best friend. Please delete it, it’s pretty dangerous.

It’s a little mystical, but what is in your mind will channel into your words and will manifest in your actions. This is called the Law of Attraction. Saying those words is a sign that you don’t have full resolve and not having full resolve will lead to a life dissolved in mediocrity.

And what happens when you’re not fully committed to it? You do a poor job. Why exert your full effort if you’re just trying? You’re not fully responsible for it right?

We fail to reach our full potential because we’re in love with silly excuses. Chickens are frightened to accept full responsibility for the results of their actions. We hate to know that falling flat on our face is possible so we just do nothing or just try. Then we feed our cute ego and hide behind false realism.

Don’t try something. Do something! Action backed up by a firm decision is hundred times stronger (and swifter) than an action backed up by a halfhearted and lousy decision. It’s the difference between Peter Parker in a Spider-Man suit and you’re brother-in-law in a fake one.

Don’t be nuts. Be courageous. And be a true Gryffindor.

“Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.”
