Good intentions – who doesn’t have them? We all want to do something. We want something to change. Nor for the bad, but for the better. They are dream’s sprouts in us that pumps the possibilities.

Maybe not remarkable in the eyes of others, but something significant in ourselves. They may lead to improved relationship, a more stable financial health, healthier body, or more enlightened self.

Shut off the childish attitude in you and wear your adult hat, you know the tasks that the angels are pushing you to do.

What are those intentions? I've listed the things that comes to my mind, it’s not exhaustive, so be free to add others in comments.

  • Finish the project
  • Read the book
  • Write articles
  • Exercise
  • Pray
  • Save money
  • Attend seminars
  • Eat healthier foods
  • Volunteer for a worthwhile cause
  • Limit time in Facebook
  • Avoid too much TV
When something has the possibility to make our life better with no evil attached, why in the world we’re not doing it? Don’t attempt to complain and throw the blame on others, it’s childish and pathetic. Be responsible! You are the only one in control of your body movements, so take responsibility for your life’s movements.

And please don’t tell me that you’re ‘trusting’ God so you are not doing anything and just praying. You already prayed for 41 days prophet (99.88% of it is actually playing Candy Crush while ‘praying’, neat multitasking). Maybe even the angels are confused about your attitude, “God has already given him the answer, what a loafer!”

Don’t twist the precepts of our faith to mask your laziness. As Solomon said, “You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.” Read the bible, pray, and keep your feet moving in God’s direction not to the couch every single time.

Time comes when we’re in the position to take the plunge. But we are sometimes paralyzed and doesn’t want to move. Rationalization comes, and we sweet-talk ourselves to silent surrender.

But we can overcome this. Really, it’s not rocket science.

Just take the first step anyway

That’s it. It won’t magically finished the whole task but it would vanished majority of your doubts and fears. It’s like throwing a seed on the ground and letting it absorb life. It is your declaration of war to laziness and empty life. It is your courageous beginning. And you know what? Taking the first step is overcoming the hardest step. Now, keep moving.

It’s the secret of those remarkable people that you’re admiring. Contrary to your excuses, their life are not written in fairytale’s ink but in real life’s ink like yours. They are not really exempted from the uncomfortable feelings, they are just resilient and have just-do-it-anyway attitude.

What is the first step in front of you? Burn the alibis and do it anyway. This is the place. This is the time. You are the man.
